Nathan met a new friend. He gets all the credit. We were at the park one day last month when he saw a pint-sized playmate on the basketball court. He marched right over and began banging on the fence and squealing. Minutes later, the two of them were sharing toys and getting to know each other.
After a bit his mom and I started talking and realized we have a lot in common. We ended up spending an hour just chatting and watching the boys swing when it came out that Nathan and his new buddy, Austin, share the same birthday. Not only that, they were born in the same hospital and only an hour apart! Birthday buddies!
It's so great watching the two of them interact and seeing their similarities and differences. It's also nice to have a new local friend to go through this crazy journey of motherhood with.
